I want to leave an opinion about the Intelli-Gel that has done so much for my wife and me. We bought our Intelli-Gel bed in the St. George store (in Utah, we are snowbirds!) about eight months ago and worked directly with the manager. We were reluctant because we've bought so many beds but he really knew about the beds and about my wife's condition and all about my back problem. My wife has Fibromyalgia and has never found a bed that let her sleep longer than 1/2 hour at a time. I have two bulging disks in my lower back that have bothered me for almost three decades. Anyways, he took the time needed and helped us understand what we needed, not just what he thought we needed. He told us of his aunt who had the same condition as my wife and how much their softest bed helped her to sleep at night. The bed felt better than any bed we felt and even though it was expensive we bought it. . .
They had it delivered by the next morning and what amazed me was that the manager delivered it himself. I have never seen that before. Anyways, he told us that it might take some getting used to and that we had to break-it in but we didn't need to. We slept perfect ever since that first night together. My wife slept the entire first night and only woke up once or twice compared to waking up in pain every few minutes. By the time we had the bed about a week she wasn't waking up at all which to us is a miracle. As for me and my back problems, the bed kind of hurt at first for about three weeks before it finally adjusted and now I actually don't have any pain when I sleep either. This bed has literally been a life-saver for us. We wake up actually having slept instead of just lay there all night wishing we were asleep.
Anyways, we moved home a few months ago to get out of the heat down there and after one night on our terrible mattress (something with a big pillow on it) we went in and bought another Intelli-Gel bed for our house up here. We literally can't sleep on anything else. For what its worth, this Intelli-gel bed saved our sleeping-lives and I recommend it to anybody who is thinking about buying one.

To Whom It May Concern:
I came into your store in Cherry Creek back in September of 2005. I walked in by accident, looking for a furniture store that used to be there. We had just bought that other bed, the Tempur-Pedic, and to be honest, we loved it. It was the best bed we had tried to that point. I was about to make a hasty exit when the manager of the store asked me if I'd ever felt the Intelli-Gel before. I told him no, anxious to leave before I got sucked into a presentation. He was good though, and somehow got me over to the display. I proceeded to tell him how much I loved my new bed, and that nothing he said could persuade me to buy something else.
He didn't try to sell me right then. Instead he told me he was glad I found something I liked, and asked if I'd just lay down on the Intelli-Gel bed that they offered and "give him my opinion". I reluctantly agreed, and when I did, suddenly my Tempur-Pedic at home didn't feel so comfortable. I was in heaven. I laid there for at least 20 minutes trying to see if I'd start feeling my hip which generally gives me trouble, and I never once felt a twinge of pain.
I sped-off and picked up my wife from home and went straight back, telling her we had to try this before it was too late to return our Tempur-Pedic. I literally had two or three days left to return it. She came reluctantly. After all, we'd just spent well over $3,000 on our new bed and were both happy. Luckily they were still open and once I got my wife to lie down, it was no question whatsoever. We called Tempur-Pedic the next day and did what we had to do in order to buy the Intelli-Gel bed that night. We got our bed quickly and without any problems or slow-downs.
We've now been sleeping on it for seven months, and are so thankful for this technology. My hip almost never bothers me, my wife's arthritis has almost cleared up, and our backs feel great. We are both in our mid-sixties, but feel like we're in our twenties again! Thank you so much for finally offering a sleep product that does what it's promised.
I have recommended your Intelli-Gel to many of my friends and family. I have four friends that I know of who have come in and bought beds from you, and every one of them just love it. I'm working on convincing my mother to try it who has extremely fragile skin and other problems that I believe this bed can help. It was the best door I ever accidentally walked through! Dear MyComfort,
I just wanted to write you a letter to say thank you for what you've given my husband and me Happiness and wonderful longevity during the day. We are very young, both in our early thirties, but have more health problems than most old people we know. My husband has broken his back twice, and has had five major back surgeries. While he's not paralyzed, he is somewhat crippled much of the time. Both of us have extreme disk problems in our necks thanks to being rear-ended several years ago. I smashed my pelvis while skiing about seven years ago and have not been the same since.
I came to the conclusion long ago that no bed could fix my husband and me. I know that we will have these problems for life, but I also knew somewhere there had to be a bed that would at least help. We tried the memory foam, the air bed, and even the Duxiana bed, all with slight amounts of relief, but not what we were hoping for. Finally, and with great hesitation because I'd already spent so much money on these other options, we went to the MyComfort store in West Jordan, Utah. The lady who helped us was a real delight and knew almost as much about our conditions as we did.
I laid down on the beds and instantly felt different than I ever had while lying down. I looked over at my husband and he smiled at me. He was thinking the same thing I was. It was wonderful. We left without buying that night, but the fact that there was something out there that felt that good haunted us on a daily basis. We finally went back in and purchased an Intelli-Gel bed. It was delivered a week later and we happily donated our other high-end bed to a relative. The first few nights were rough, I have to admit. Both of us felt a lot of pain in our backs because we weren't used to what the Intelli-Gel did for us. It took my husband a couple days longer, but after we adjusted, we've slept almost-pain free ever since. We both can do a lot more during the day, and last a lot longer in our activities. We both find that we dream now, where neither of us dreamed much, if ever, before. We both wake up and have actually slept. It seems like life is better, we are happier, and we couldn't be more thankful for our Intelli-Gel bed.

How important is a good night's sleep? Is it worth several thousand dollars?
After many years of comfort and good service, our tubular water bed started to become uncomfortable, so we decided to buy a new bed. It seems that the mattress developed permanent depressions in the two locations my wife and I slept in. This phenomenon, which is called "hammocking", is not uncommon to beds in general but it is especially prevalent after long time use in tubular water beds.
This "hammocking" eventually caused my wife to start having severe neck and shoulder problems for which she went to see some friends of ours, named Dr. Dave and Dr. Diane, who happen to be very good husband and wife Chiropractors. When my wife told Dr. Dave what she thought the problem was and that we were planning on buying a new mattress, he informed her that he himself had just purchased a new mattress. Dave went on to explain that since his patient's continued skeletal health was of importance to him, he took it upon himself to seek out, test and evaluate all the major mattresses.
His professional choice was the Intelli-Gel Bed and that was good enough for us, so we went to the nearest Intelli-Gel store. . . We didn't get into the whole line, which includes bedding, pillows, etc. The husband and wife sales team were courteous and helpful. . .
We have now been sleeping on our Intelli-Gel Bed about four and a half months. Since I hadn't slept on a conventional mattress for years I have no basis of comparison but I will say I have no complaints. The mattress is very comfortable. It's not hard or soft and I fall asleep easily but then I always did. It was my wife who was having the most problems and she seems to be doing much better and if I may be so bold, it seems to work better for intimacies.
Could I have gotten by with a much cheaper top of the line Sealy or Simmons? Probably but I don't think my wife could have and she's more important than money and don't forget this was the choice of our Chiropractor, which made our purchase a no-brainer.
